Back from Vacation and Ready to Jump Into Art!

We got back from Maine and New York last week and now Prince William County Schools are already back in session.   I have not started subbing yet, and I am glad because I am keeping busy getting ready for classes here at Wainscott Art Studio.    Some news:

I have solidified the afternoon classes, but there are still a few slots open.  On Tuesdays, I will see 6-8 year olds from 5:00 to 6:30.  I hope this gives them a chance to get the wiggles out after school before coming back inside.  We will keep moving around, but I know nothing beats a good run after school!  On Wednesdays, the 9-12 age group will be coming in at 4:30 to 6:00, to accommodate other activities later in the evening.

I am also looking to establish 3 classes during the day sometime on Tuesday or Wednesday.  If you know anyone interested in taking a digital art class, have them contact me.  I am going to check in with day care facilities, senior living facilities and schools, but ideally I would run the classes out of my basement, which I have equipped for this purpose.

Speaking of equipped, I have recently taken an Advanced iPads in the Art Room course towards both my recertification and my masters. And based upon that experience I have rigged up some stations for filming stop-motion videos from above, procured a tripod and a iPad adapter for filming from the side and a bunch of green cloth...which I am itching to put to good use as a green screen to show kids flying through Woodbridge and beyond!

I am solidifying class lesson plans for September this week and will be emailing a questionnaire to all students shortly.

See you in the studio -
